Terms of Service
Last updated: October 28, 2026
Effective date: February 4, 2026
Chapter 1. General Provisions
Article 1 (Purpose)
These Terms govern the conditions, procedures, rights, obligations, and responsibilities between EasyMakeQuiz (operated by the sole proprietorship 이지메이크퀴즈, representative Han Gyeol; the "Company") and its users (the "Members") regarding the use of the EasyMakeQuiz service (the "Service").
Article 2 (Definitions)
- "Service" means the quiz creation tools, AI-based content generation, and all related services provided by the Company.
- "Member" means a person who has agreed to these Terms and completed the registration process.
- "Content" means all quizzes, images, text, and other materials created, stored, or shared through the Service.
- "Credits" means prepaid units used to access AI features and other paid services. Credits cannot be exchanged for cash, securities, or any other payment instrument, and may only be used within this Service. Credits are non-transferable, non-inheritable, and may not be pledged as collateral.
- Types of Credits: Credits fall into the following two types, which belong to different products.
- Prepaid credits (top-up credits): paid (base) credits that a Member tops up by a one-time payment, together with any bonus credits granted with that top-up or by the Company for promotions, compensation or similar purposes. This is a general-payment (stored-value top-up) product governed by Articles 6-2 and 6-8.
- Subscription credits: credits included in a subscription (recurring billing) product and granted each billing period. They are part of the subscription product and governed by Article 6-3.
Article 3 (Effect and Amendment of Terms)
- These Terms take effect upon being posted on the Service or otherwise communicated to Members.
- The Company may amend these Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
- Amendments will be posted at least 7 days prior to the effective date. For changes that are unfavorable to Members, notice will be given at least 30 days in advance.
- When posting the notice under paragraph 3, the Company will state that a Member who does not agree to an amendment may object, and that a Member who objects may terminate the service agreement. If a Member does not express objection by the effective date of the amended Terms, the Member is deemed to have agreed to them; a Member who does not agree may terminate the service agreement before the effective date.
Article 3-2 (Notices to Members)
- Notices to Members will be sent to the email address provided at registration.
- For notices to all Members, the Company may substitute individual notice by posting on the Service for at least 7 days.
- You consent to receive essential service communications (Terms changes, security alerts, payment notifications) regardless of marketing opt-out preferences.
- If a notice cannot be delivered due to inaccurate or outdated contact information provided by the Member, it shall be deemed delivered at the time of sending.
Chapter 2. Use of Service
Article 4 (Registration)
- Registration is completed by signing in with a social account supported by the Company (Google, Kakao or Naver) and agreeing to these Terms and the Privacy Policy (Article 4-4).
- The Company may refuse or terminate registration in the following cases:
- Using another person's information
- Providing false information
- Having previously lost membership due to a violation of these Terms
- Other cases where registration would significantly impede the Company's operations
Article 4-2 (User Eligibility)
- The Service may be joined and used by persons aged 14 or older.
- Persons under the age of 14 may not create an account.
- Members confirm that they are 14 or older when signing up. If the Company learns that a person under 14 has signed up, it will suspend the account and destroy the personal information collected without delay, except information that must be retained under applicable law (such as payment records), which is kept separately for the required period.
- Members under the age of 19 must obtain the consent of their legal representative (such as a parent) before paying for paid services. A payment made without that consent may be cancelled by the Member or the legal representative, unless the Member used deception to make the Company believe that the Member was an adult or had the legal representative's consent (Korean Civil Act, Article 17).
- If a payment is cancelled under paragraph 4, the Company refunds it after deducting, to the extent permitted by law, the amount corresponding to credits already used and the period already used.
- The Company may request the minimum information necessary to verify a Member's age and whether legal-representative consent has been given.
Article 4-3 (Company Obligations)
- The Company shall comply with applicable laws and these Terms, and shall use its best efforts to provide the Service continuously and reliably.
- The Company shall maintain security systems to protect Members' personal information.
- The Company shall establish procedures for handling Member complaints and grievances and shall endeavor to process them without undue delay. The Company endeavors to respond to inquiries submitted to customer support ([email protected]) within 3 business days; if processing is delayed, the Company will inform the Member of the reason and expected timeline.
- The Company shall not disclose Members' personal information learned in connection with the Service to third parties without the Member's consent.
Article 4-4 (Signing In with Social Accounts)
- Members sign up and sign in with a social account supported by the Company (Google, Kakao or Naver; each a "Login Provider"). The Company does not issue separate IDs or passwords.
- When a Member agrees on the Login Provider's screen to share information, the Company receives that information (the Login Provider's member identifier and email address). Details are set out in the Privacy Policy.
- One email, one account: Only one Member account may be created per email address. If a Member signs in with an email address already registered through another Login Provider, no new account is created and the Member is directed to sign in with the Login Provider used first. The Company does not merge accounts unless the Member asks.
- Use of a Login Provider's service is governed by that provider's terms and privacy policy. If a Member cannot sign in because of a Login Provider's outage, policy change or account suspension, the Member may ask customer support ([email protected]) to verify their identity. The Company is not liable for temporary inability to sign in caused by a Login Provider, except in cases of the Company's intent or gross negligence.
- Members must not share their Login Provider account with others or sign up with another person's account.
Article 5 (Provision of Service)
- The Company provides the following services:
- Quiz creation tools (editor)
- AI-based problem generation and solving
- Content storage and management
- Other services as determined by the Company
- The Service is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year in principle. However, service may be temporarily suspended for system maintenance or other operational needs.
- The Company may modify, update, suspend, or discontinue all or any part of the Service at any time, for any reason, with or without notice. For free services, changes may be made without prior notice. For changes materially affecting paid services, the Company will use reasonable efforts to provide advance notice. The Company shall not be liable for any damages resulting from such modification, suspension, or discontinuation.
- If the Company intends to terminate the entire Service, it shall notify Members at least 30 days prior to the termination date via in-service notice and email. Such notice shall include: the reason for termination, the scheduled termination date, the method for handling remaining credits, and the method and deadline for downloading or transferring Member data.
- Members may download their content until the termination date. After termination, data will be deleted except as required to be retained under applicable law.
Article 6 (Paid Services and Payment)
- The Company may charge separate fees for certain services.
- Fees and payment methods for paid services are as described within the Service.
- Payment Processing: Payments for this Service are processed via domestic credit cards only (mobile/easy-pay wallets and bank transfers are not accepted). One-time credit purchases are processed by our payment gateway provider, PortOne (Korea PortOne Co., Ltd.), and the domestic PG (payment gateway) company integrated by PortOne (KG Inicis); subscriptions (recurring billing) are processed through the automatic billing service of Toss Payments Co., Ltd. The relevant payment company issues the card sales receipt. For payment or receipt inquiries, please contact our customer support ([email protected]).
- Subscription services are automatically renewed at the end of each billing cycle under the same conditions. To cancel, you must request cancellation before the next billing date through the Service settings.
- The Company may change subscription fees with at least 30 days' prior notice via email or in-service announcement. For price increases, existing subscribers will continue at their current rate until the end of their current billing cycle. If the Company intends to increase a recurring-payment price or convert a free offering into a paid recurring payment, it will, at least 30 days before the increase or conversion date, notify you of the date and time of the increase or conversion, the prices before and after the change, and the payment method, obtain your consent, and inform you of the conditions, method and effect of cancellation and termination (Korean E-Commerce Consumer Protection Act, Article 13(6), and its Enforcement Decree, Article 20-2). A Member who does not consent will not be charged the increased price, and that Member's subscription ends at the end of the current billing cycle. Renewals at an unchanged price continue automatically under paragraph 4.
- Contract Formation: A paid service contract is formed when the Member completes payment and approval is confirmed by the relevant payment company (PortOne for credits, Toss Payments for subscriptions). The Company will notify the Member of the contract formation via email or in-service notification.
- Payment Methods: Subscriptions are billed only by recurring credit-card payment; credits are one-time purchases by credit card only.
- Separate Products: Prepaid credit top-ups (one-time payments) and subscriptions (recurring billing) are separate products. The validity and refund of prepaid credits are governed by Articles 6-2 and 6-8, and subscriptions and subscription credits by Article 6-3. Cancelling or refunding a subscription does not affect prepaid credits already topped up, and refunding prepaid credits does not affect a subscription.
- Prepaid Credit Top-up Limit: A single top-up (one-time payment) of prepaid credits is limited to ₩100,000.
Article 6-2 (Credit Purchase and Refund)
- Definition: Credits are prepaid units used to access paid features such as AI recognition. Credits are classified as "base credits" and "bonus credits."
- Digital Content: AI services consumed through credits are instantly delivered digital content. Under Article 17(2)(v) of the Korean E-Commerce Consumer Protection Act, the right of withdrawal is limited for the portion whose use has begun.
- Specific Grounds for Withdrawal Restriction: Under the Korean E-Commerce Consumer Protection Act (Article 17, Paragraph 2), withdrawal is restricted in the following cases:
- The portion of AI services whose use has begun by spending credits (limited to the portion whose delivery as digital content has begun; unused credits follow the refund conditions in this Article)
- When goods have been lost or damaged due to the Member's intent or negligence
- Order of Use: Credits are used in the order subscription credits → paid (base) credits → bonus credits. Bonus credits are used last.
- Refund Conditions: Credit refunds may be requested within the credits' validity period. There is no cancellation charge within 7 days of purchase; after that, 10% of the refund is deducted as a cancellation charge. There is no limit on the number of refunds, but each purchase can be refunded only once.
- Refund Amount: The unused paid credits of that purchase are refunded in proportion to the amount paid. One paid credit corresponds to ₩2.9 (₩2,900 = 1,000 paid credits). For example, if you paid ₩29,900 for 10,310 paid credits plus 2,869 bonus credits and used 3,310, 7,000 paid credits and 2,869 bonus credits remain (paid credits are used before bonus credits). A refund requested within 7 days of purchase returns the remaining paid credits (7,000 paid credits × ₩2.9), ₩20,300; after 7 days, the 10% cancellation charge is deducted and you receive ₩18,270. The remaining 2,869 bonus credits are removed either way.
- Bonus Credits: Bonus credits are never refundable and are removed when the purchase is refunded.
- Non-Refundable Items: The following are, in principle, non-refundable, except where the Company acted with intent or gross negligence, where performance differed from representations, advertising, or the contract, or where a refund is otherwise required by applicable law:
- Bonus credits
- Credits already used
- Credits received through promotions or events
- Refund Process: Refunds are requested directly by the Member at [Settings → Refund] in the Service and are processed within the period required by applicable law. For a statutory withdrawal, the Company requests the refund or the cancellation of the card payment within 3 business days of the withdrawal (Korean E-Commerce Consumer Protection Act, Article 18); contractual refunds (unused credits and pro-rata subscription refunds) are processed within 3 business days of the request. When the refund appears on your card statement depends on the card issuer's schedule. If you cannot sign in or use the request screen (for example, because of an account suspension or an outage), you may also apply by email to customer support ([email protected]); a withdrawal validly expressed under applicable law is not refused on the ground that it was not made through the request screen.
- Refund Method: Refunds are made only by cancelling the original payment; they are not paid in cash, by bank transfer, or by any other means.
- Late Refund Compensation: If the Company delays a refund beyond the period required by applicable law without justifiable cause, it shall add delay compensation for the overdue period as required by the Korean E-Commerce Consumer Protection Act and its Enforcement Decree.
- Credit Expiration: Credits are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. Expired credits are automatically forfeited and are non-refundable.
- Consent: The Company summarizes the refund conditions on the payment screen, and the Member must tick the consent checkbox before paying. The Company keeps the time of consent with the payment record.
Article 6-3 (Subscription Refund)
- Subscription Credits: Each billing period of a subscription includes 200 AI credits. Subscription credits are part of the subscription product and distinct from prepaid credits (Article 6-2), and are used before any other credits. Subscription credits are valid until the end of the billing period in which they were granted; when that period ends, any remaining subscription credits expire and do not roll over to the next billing period. Expired subscription credits are not refunded separately; refunds of subscription fees follow paragraphs 3 and 4 below.
- Cancellation: You may cancel (stop the next renewal) at any time. Upon cancellation, you will not be charged from the next billing date, and you may continue to use the Service until then.
- Subscription Refund: A subscription payment is refunded in full within 7 days of the payment if you have not used any subscription feature in that billing period; request it directly at [Settings → Refund]. Using a subscription feature means using, even once, anything offered only to subscribers, such as spending subscription credits, storing more than the Free plan's storage limit, or using the AI connection.
- Pro-Rata Refund of the Remaining Days: For a payment for which a subscription feature was used, or that is more than 7 days old, provision of the digital content has begun for the days already used, so withdrawal of that part is restricted under Article 17(2)(v) of the Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce; however, the part not yet provided (the remaining days) is refunded pro rata. You receive (subscription price × remaining days ÷ days in the billing period) minus the subscription credits used in that period × ₩2.9 per credit; after 7 days from the payment, a 10% cancellation charge is first deducted from the remaining-days share. The remaining days include the day you request the refund. For example, on the Plus monthly plan (₩2,900, a 30-day billing period) with 100 subscription credits used, a request on day 3 (the payment day is day 1) returns ₩2,416 (28-day share ₩2,706 − credit deduction ₩290), and a request on day 10 returns ₩1,537 (21-day share ₩2,030 − cancellation charge ₩203 − credit deduction ₩290). If the result is ₩0 or less there is nothing to refund and you can only cancel; after cancelling you may keep using the Service until the end of the period you paid for. The Company discloses these terms on the payment screen before payment and asks for your consent.
- Upgrade Settlement: An upgrade from Plus to Pro is a plan change, not a withdrawal, so the remaining days of the Plus payment are settled regardless of paragraphs 3 and 4. You receive (Plus price × remaining days ÷ days in the billing period) minus the subscription credits used in that period × ₩2.9 per credit, shown on the upgrade screen before you confirm.
- After a Refund: Remaining subscription credits are removed and your plan returns to Free. Problems over the free storage limit are locked, not deleted.
- Number of refunds: Subscription refunds are available once per payment; there is no per-account limit.
Article 6-5 (Retention of Transaction Records)
The Company retains the following transaction-related records in accordance with the Korean E-Commerce Consumer Protection Act and its Enforcement Decree:
| Records | Retention Period |
|---|---|
| Records relating to labeling and advertising | 6 months |
| Records relating to contracts or withdrawal of offers | 5 years |
| Records relating to payment and supply of goods/services | 5 years |
| Records relating to consumer complaints or dispute resolution | 3 years |
Article 6-6 (Pre-Transaction Disclosure)
- The Company shall clearly display the following information on the payment screen prior to payment: the name and description of the service, price (including whether tax is included), payment method, timing of service provision, withdrawal and refund conditions, and links to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
- The Member reviews the above information and gives explicit consent before paying (the refund-conditions consent checkbox).
- Information provided on the checkout screen of the payment processor (PortOne) and the integrated PG company supplements the disclosures required by this Article.
Article 6-7 (Payment Errors)
- In the event of a payment error (duplicate charge, incorrect amount, etc.), the Company shall refund the overpayment using the same payment method. If the same method is unavailable, the Company shall notify the Member in advance.
- If the payment error was caused by the Company, the Company shall refund the full amount of the overpayment.
- If the payment error was caused by the Member, the Member may bear reasonable costs associated with the refund process.
- The Company shall process overpayment refund claims within 3 business days of receipt. If the refund is delayed for justifiable reasons, the Company shall add interest at an annual rate of 15% for the period of delay.
Article 6-8 (Service Provision Period)
- Paid services (credits and subscriptions) become available immediately upon completion of payment.
- Credits (a prepaid, stored-value digital content product) are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. Expired credits are automatically forfeited and non-refundable (see Article 6-2).
- Both the usage period and the refund-request period of prepaid credits are limited to 12 months from the time of payment (date of purchase). After that period, any remaining prepaid credits are automatically forfeited and can neither be used nor refunded. Prepaid credits are refunded (Article 6-2) only when the Member requests the refund within that period. However, Article 6-7 (payment errors), Article 14(4) (settlement upon loss of membership), and any refund grounds under applicable law apply as provided. The period of subscription credits follows Article 6-3(1).
- Subscriptions renew automatically on a monthly basis measured from the billing date under the same terms until canceled.
Article 6-9 (Exchange)
Credits and subscriptions are digital content and, by their nature, are not eligible for exchange. However, in the event of a defect attributable to the Company — such as performance differing from representations or advertising — the matter will be resolved, in lieu of exchange, by refund or re-provision in accordance with Article 6-2 and the Refund Policy.
Article 6-10 (Cancellation and Withdrawal)
- Requirements and Period: Under the Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, you may withdraw your offer within 7 days from the date you receive the written contract terms (or the date service provision begins). Separately, the Company provides refunds for unused paid credits on the conditions set forth in Article 6-2 (within the validity period, prorated to the amount paid, with a 10% cancellation charge after 7 days from purchase), and refunds for subscription fees on the conditions set forth in Article 6-3 (in full within 7 days of the payment if no subscription feature was used in that billing period; otherwise the remaining days pro rata minus the subscription credits used, with a 10% cancellation charge after 7 days).
- Restriction: Due to the nature of digital content, withdrawal is restricted for any portion for which service use has begun by consuming credits, under Article 17(2)(v) of the same Act; the Company discloses this in advance on the payment screen.
- Subscriptions: A subscription payment for which a subscription feature was used — spending subscription credits, storing more than the Free plan's storage limit, using the AI connection and the like — is one for which provision of the digital content has begun for the days already used; withdrawal of that part is restricted under Article 17(2)(v) of the same Act, and the remaining days not yet provided are refunded pro rata under Article 6-3. The Company discloses this in advance on the subscription payment screen, asks for your consent, and lets you try the Service on the Free plan first.
- Method: Request it yourself at [Settings → Refund] in the Service; no separate inquiry is needed. For details, see the Refund Policy.
Chapter 3. Member Obligations
Article 7 (Member Obligations)
Members shall not engage in the following activities:
- Using another person's information
- Unauthorized modification of information posted by the Company
- Transmitting or posting unauthorized information (including computer programs)

- Damaging the reputation of or interfering with operations of the Company or third parties
- Posting obscene or violent content
- Other illegal or improper activities
- Members shall promptly update their registration information (email address, etc.) through the Service settings whenever there is a change. The Company shall not be liable for any disadvantage arising from the Member's failure to update such information.
Article 7-2 (Account Security)
- Members are responsible for keeping secure the authentication methods provided by the Service, the accounts linked to their sign-in (Google, Kakao, Naver, etc.) and the related account information.
- Members may not transfer, lend, or otherwise share their account credentials with third parties.
- Members must promptly notify the Company if they become aware of any unauthorized use of their account.
- The Company shall not be liable for unauthorized account access resulting from the Member's failure to safeguard their credentials; provided, however, that this limitation shall not apply where the Company was grossly negligent or acted intentionally.
Article 8 (Prohibited Activities)
The following activities are strictly prohibited. Violations may result in immediate restriction of service and legal action.
1. Automated Access and Crawling
- Using bots, scrapers, crawlers, or other automated means to access the Service or collect data
- Bypassing APIs or sending excessive requests
- Violating the Service's robots.txt directives
2. Reverse Engineering, Replication and Circumvention of Technological Protection Measures
- Except where expressly permitted by law (such as the minimum scope allowed for interoperability under Article 101-4 of the Korean Copyright Act), the following are prohibited
- Reverse engineering, decompiling or disassembling the Service's client code, servers, network traffic, algorithms or data structures, or using the results
- Removing, altering, bypassing or disabling the access controls and other protection measures the Company applies to protect the Service and its works (access control for subscriber-only modules, signed tokens, build identifiers, identifying marks in code, connection limits, etc.) (where these are technological protection measures under Article 104-2 of the Korean Copyright Act, the Company responds under that Act)
- Bypassing the Company's authentication, access rights, subscription, billing or usage limits, or calling non-public features or APIs with unauthorized accounts, tokens or clients (accessibility tools and integration methods the Company has published or approved are excepted)
- Using AI agents or automated analysis tools (such as tools connected to decompilers or browser automation) to analyze the Service's client code, network traffic or on-screen behavior
- Using the Company's code, structures or analysis results obtained or reconstructed through the preceding items to build a program or service that is the same as or similar to the Service, or repurposing them in another program (including by feeding them into AI tools to produce such results)
- Copying, modifying, distributing or sharing the Service's client code, subscriber-only modules or signed tokens, or re-hosting them on another site
- Removing or altering identifying marks or copyright notices contained in client code or subscriber-only modules in order to enable or conceal an infringement of rights, and having or helping others do any of the above
- To detect and prove the conduct above, the Company may retain and compare access records, build identifiers and identifying marks in client code, keep them for as long as needed for disputes, investigations or litigation, and provide them when lawfully requested by investigative agencies or courts
3. Unauthorized Data Collection
- Collecting, storing, or disclosing other Members' personal information
- Mass downloading or copying content from the Service
- Using collected data for commercial purposes
4. Service Integrity Violations
- Distributing malware or viruses through the Service
- Interfering with normal operations of the Service (e.g., DDoS attacks)
- Interfering with other Members' use of the Service
- Exploiting vulnerabilities in the Service
5. Account Abuse
- Creating multiple accounts to fraudulently obtain free benefits
- Lending, transferring, or selling accounts to others
- Unauthorized access to other Members' accounts
6. AI Feature Abuse
- Using AI features to generate illegal content (violence, hate speech, discrimination, fraud, etc.)
- Misrepresenting AI-generated output as human-created work for academic dishonesty
- Intentionally using AI features to generate content that infringes third-party intellectual property rights
- Attempting to bypass or manipulate AI safety measures
Article 9 (Sanctions)
- The Company may take the following actions against Members who violate Article 7 or Article 8:
- Warning
- Temporary suspension of service
- Permanent restriction of service (account deletion)
- Legal action (damages, criminal complaints, etc.)
- Violations of Article 8 may result in immediate restriction without prior warning.
- The Company may restrict access first to stop an ongoing infringement or prevent further harm. Unless an investigation or a legal restriction makes immediate notice impracticable, the Company notifies the Member of the main reasons for the measure and how to object, reviews the Member's explanation, and then maintains, changes or lifts the measure.
- The Company may claim damages against Members for losses caused by violations.
- For a violation of Article 8(2), the Company may suspend the account and terminate the service agreement without prior notice, claim damages caused by the violation (including reasonable costs of investigation and response), and take civil and criminal action under applicable law, including the Korean Copyright Act, the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, and the Unfair Competition Prevention and Trade Secret Protection Act.
- If the service agreement is terminated for a violation of Article 8, the Company refunds the remaining paid credits after deducting the damages under paragraph 5; bonus and promotional credits are forfeited. If the Company sets off damages, it informs the Member of the set-off details; the Company's estimate alone does not establish the Member's liability, and any refund amount that is not in dispute is processed separately.
Chapter 4. Content and Intellectual Property
Article 10 (Ownership of Content)
- Copyright of content created by Members through the Service belongs, in principle, to the Members.
- Members grant the Company a license to use their content to the extent necessary for operating and improving the Service.
- Intellectual property rights in the Service's design, logos, software, and technology belong to the Company.
Article 10-2 (Feedback)
- If you provide the Company with any feedback, suggestions, improvement ideas, or bug reports regarding the Service (collectively, "Feedback"), you hereby grant the Company a non-exclusive, perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, modify, create derivative works from, publish, and distribute such Feedback without any obligation to you.
- You shall not be entitled to any compensation or credit for providing Feedback.
- The Company is under no obligation to use or implement any Feedback.
Article 10-3 (License to Use the Service)
- The Company grants Members a non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable and revocable license to use the Service in accordance with these Terms.
- All rights in the Service (client programs, servers, algorithms, data structures, recognition specifications, screen design, documents, etc.) and copies of it belong to the Company. The Company does not sell software or copies of it to Members or transfer any rights in them.
- All rights not expressly granted in these Terms are reserved by the Company.
Article 11 (Management of Content)
- If content is deemed to violate applicable laws or these Terms, the Company may delete or restrict access to such content.
- The Company endeavors to regularly back up content, but Members are encouraged to maintain separate backups of important content.
Article 11-3 (Copyright Infringement Notice Procedure)
- Request to Suspend: A person who claims that reproduction or transmission through the Service infringes their copyright or another right protected under the Korean Copyright Act (the "Claimant") may, under Article 103 of that Act, show the facts and request the suspension of the reproduction and transmission of the content by writing to [email protected] with the following:
- The Claimant's name (and, if an agent makes the request, the agent's name and authority) and contact details (address, telephone number, email)
- Identification of the work claimed to have been infringed
- Location of the content to be suspended (URL or in-service identifier)
- Materials showing that the Claimant is the rightful holder (such as a copy of a copyright registration certificate or equivalent materials)
- Suspension and Notice: On receiving a request, the Company immediately suspends the reproduction and transmission of the content, notifies the Claimant, and also notifies the Member who posted the content (the "Poster").
- Request to Resume: The Poster may request the Company to resume the reproduction and transmission by showing that they are based on a legitimate right.
- Resumption and Notice: On receiving a request to resume, the Company notifies the Claimant of the request and the scheduled resumption date without delay and resumes the reproduction and transmission on that date, unless the Claimant notifies the Company before that date that it has filed a lawsuit against the Poster's infringement.
- Repeat Infringer Policy: The Company will suspend or terminate the accounts of Members who repeatedly infringe copyrights.
- False Claims: Any person who requests suspension or resumption without a legitimate right, or knowingly submits a false infringement notice, may be liable for the resulting damages (including reasonable attorneys' fees).
Chapter 5. Limitation of Liability
Article 12 (Disclaimer of Warranties)
- THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS-IS" AND "AS-AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. The Company does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or available at any particular time. The Company does not provide any service level agreement (SLA) guaranteeing specific uptime, response times, or data processing speeds.
- The Company is not liable for service interruptions, delays, or performance degradation caused by natural disasters, war, terrorism, hacking, governmental acts, regulations or orders, epidemics, power or telecommunications failures, disruptions or outages of third-party services (including cloud hosting, API providers, and payment processors), or any other cause beyond the Company's reasonable control (collectively, "Force Majeure Events"). The Company's obligations shall be suspended for the duration of any Force Majeure Event.
- The Company is not liable for service disruptions caused by the Member's own actions.
- The Company does not guarantee the accuracy or reliability of information obtained through the Service.
- The Company does not intervene in disputes between Members or between Members and third parties, and is not liable for resulting damages.
- Disclaimers regarding AI features are set forth separately in Article 11-2.
Article 12-2 (Third-Party Services)
- The Service utilizes third-party services including, but not limited to, payment processing (PortOne and the integrated PG company) and AI processing (third-party AI model providers — see the Privacy Policy). Such third-party services are governed by their own terms of service and privacy policies.
- THE COMPANY MAKES NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, REGARDING THE AVAILABILITY, ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, RELIABILITY, OR SECURITY OF ANY THIRD-PARTY SERVICE.
- The Company shall not be liable for any service disruptions caused by outages, changes, or discontinuation of third-party services.
- For third-party services that the Company has chosen to include in the Service (such as payment processors and AI model providers), the Company acts as the point of contact for inquiries and takes reasonable measures; disputes about third-party services you contract with directly (such as social login providers) are resolved between you and that third party.
Article 12-3 (Beta and Experimental Features)
- The Company may offer certain features designated as "beta," "experimental," "preview," or "early access" (collectively, "Beta Features").
- Beta Features may be incomplete or contain errors, and are provided under an even higher degree of the disclaimers set forth in Article 12. BETA FEATURES ARE PROVIDED "AS-IS" WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY WHATSOEVER.
- The Company may modify, limit, or permanently discontinue any Beta Feature at any time without prior notice.
- The Company shall not be liable for damages arising from the use of Beta Features, except for damages caused by the Company's intent or gross negligence.
Article 11-2 (AI Features and Accuracy)
- Nature of AI Outputs: The Service's AI recognition feature automatically converts math problems from images into digital content using machine learning. This process does not guarantee 100% accuracy. AI-generated results may be inaccurate, incomplete, or contain errors.
- Editor for Correction: The Company provides a vector editor that allows Members to review and correct AI recognition results. AI recognition is an assistive tool that generates a draft; the accuracy of the final content must be verified and corrected by the Member using the editor.
- Not a Substitute for Professional Judgment: AI-generated content is not a substitute for professional educational judgment, review, or expert advice. YOU SHOULD NOT RELY ON AI OUTPUT AS A SOLE SOURCE OF TRUTH OR FACTUAL INFORMATION.
- Human Review Obligation: Members must evaluate all AI-generated content for accuracy, appropriateness, and legality — including using human review as appropriate — before using or sharing such content. ANY USE OF AI-GENERATED OUTPUT IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK.
- Disclaimer: THE COMPANY MAKES NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, REGARDING THE ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, LEGALITY, OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE OF AI-GENERATED CONTENT. The Company shall not be liable for any damages arising from errors, omissions, or reliance on AI-generated content.
- Data Processing: Images and text data submitted through AI features are transmitted to and processed by third-party AI model providers. The providers and the countries data is transferred to are listed in the Privacy Policy.
- No AI Training on Your Data: The Company does not use data you input or upload through the Service (images, text, etc.) to train AI models. Input data is transmitted to third-party AI model providers solely to process your request.
- Non-Uniqueness of AI Outputs: Due to the nature of machine learning models, AI-generated outputs may produce similar or identical results for different users' requests. Exclusive rights to any particular AI output are not guaranteed.
- Automated Decision-Making Disclosure: The AI features of this Service perform automated processing based on your input. Under applicable data protection laws, you have the right to request an explanation of, or raise an objection to, automated decisions made by AI. Such requests may be submitted to [email protected].
- Generative AI Notice: AI recognition and conversion results are produced by generative AI, and Members review and correct them before use. The Company discloses its use of generative AI on the Service screens and in these Terms (Korean Framework Act on the Development of Artificial Intelligence and Establishment of Trust, Article 31).
Article 13 (Limitation of Liability)
- TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, the Company's total aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or relating to the Service shall not exceed the total amount paid by the Member to the Company in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim. For services provided free of charge, the Company is not liable unless applicable law provides otherwise; this does not apply to damage caused by the Company's intent or gross negligence.
- IN NO EVENT SHALL THE COMPANY BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF GOODWILL, OR COST OF PROCUREMENT OF SUBSTITUTE SERVICES, regardless of the cause of action or the theory of liability.
- The above limitations do not apply to liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by applicable law.

- Your violation of any applicable law or regulation in connection with your use of the Service
- Any infringement of third-party rights caused by content you post or transmit through the Service
- Your misuse or abuse of the Service

- If membership is terminated due to the Member's violation of these Terms, remaining paid credits are refunded after deducting damages under Article 9; bonus and promotional credits are forfeited. If the Company deducts (sets off) damages, it informs the Member of the details; the Company's estimate alone does not establish the Member's liability, and any refund amount that is not in dispute is processed separately.

- The Service may be used by persons aged 14 or older; Article 4-2 applies to payments by persons under 19.
- Members' data is processed in the countries listed in the Privacy Policy (such as the Republic of Korea and the United States).
- Export Controls and Sanctions Compliance: You represent and warrant that you are not located in, or a resident or national of, any country subject to U.S., EU, or Republic of Korea trade sanctions (including but not limited to North Korea, Iran, Syria, Cuba, and the Crimea region), and that you are not listed on the U.S. OFAC (Office of Foreign Assets Control) Specially Designated Nationals list or any other applicable sanctions list. The Company may immediately restrict access to the Service upon breach of this representation.
Article 16-3 (Severability)
If any provision of these Terms is held by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the invalidity of that provision shall not affect the validity, legality, or enforceability of the remaining provisions, which shall continue in full force and effect. An invalid or unenforceable provision is supplemented in accordance with applicable law and the reasonable intent of the parties.
Article 16-4 (Entire Agreement, No Waiver, Assignment)
- Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and the Company regarding the use of the Service and supersede all prior agreements, understandings, and promises (whether oral or written) relating to the subject matter hereof.
- No Waiver: The failure of the Company to exercise or enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. A waiver in any one instance shall not constitute a waiver in any other instance.
- Assignment: You may not assign or transfer any of your rights or obligations under these Terms without the prior written consent of the Company. The Company may transfer its rights and obligations under these Terms only when transferring the Service through a business transfer, merger, division or similar transaction, and will notify Members in advance; Members who do not agree may terminate the service agreement.
Article 16-5 (Publicity and Marketing)
The Company uses the name of your affiliated organization (school, academy, etc.) in a list of customers for marketing purposes only if a person authorized by that organization has agreed in advance; that consent may be withdrawn at any time by notifying [email protected]. Your personal name, likeness, or personal content will not be used without your prior written consent.
Article 16-6 (Security Vulnerability Reporting)
The Company encourages responsible security research. If you discover a security vulnerability in the Service, please report it to [email protected]. The Company will not pursue legal action under Article 8 (Prohibited Activities) against researchers who report vulnerabilities in good faith. This safe harbor does not apply if the researcher accesses other users' data, degrades service availability, or discloses the vulnerability publicly without providing the Company a reasonable remediation period.
Article 16-7 (Survival)
The following provisions shall survive any termination or expiration of these Terms or your account: Article 10 (Ownership of Content), Article 10-2 (Feedback), Article 10-3 (License to Use the Service), Article 11-2 (AI Features and Accuracy), Article 11-3 (Copyright Infringement Notice Procedure), Article 12 (Disclaimer of Warranties), Article 12-2 (Third-Party Services), Article 13 (Limitation of Liability), Article 13-2 (Indemnification), Article 15 (Dispute Resolution), Article 16 (Governing Law), Article 16-3 (Severability), Article 16-4 (Entire Agreement, No Waiver, Assignment), and this Article.
